REQUIRED MATERIALS

Bucilla Wonder-Knit, Article 3777: 1 skein
Steel Crochet Hook, Size 0

NOTE(s)

This set consists of 3 Moth Cake Holders, each approximately 3 inches in diameter. Just tuck a moth cake in the holder and your closets will be pretty as wel as protected.

Gauge: 5 sts = 1 inch 2 rnds = 1 inch

Note: All rnds are joined in 3rd ch with slip st (never work into this slip st).

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Half (Make 2)

Make a loop on hook, ch 4, 11 dc in 4th ch from hook, join; (12 dc in rnd, including ch 3).

Rnd 2 (right side) – Ch 5, skip joined st, 1 dc in next dc, [ch 2 and 1 dc] all in each dc around, ch 2, join.

Rnd 3 – Slip st in first sp, ch 5, 1 dc in same sp, [ch 2, 1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc] all In each remaining sp, ch 2, join; (24 dc in rnd).

Rnd 4 – Ch 4, skip joined st, [1 dc and ch 1] all in each dc around, join; ch 30 for Tie-string, fasten off,

Trimming

Make a loop on hook, working in sps of rnd 3, 1 sc in any sp, * ch 4, slip st in 2nd ch from hook, 1 hdc in next ch, 1 dc in next ch, skip next sp, 1 sc in next sp; rpt from * around; in last rpt omit last sc, join in first sc, fasten off.

Finishing

Sew top of rnd 4 of both halves together matching Tie-Strings, leaving opening to insert cake. Make 2 more Holders.
