Quantity: Article 35, Size 30 – 1 Ball White – Will Make 16 Stars
Size of Needle: Steel 12

Material: “PURITAN” CROCHET COTTON
Quantity: Article 40 – 1 Ball White – Will Make 11 Stars
Size of Needle: Steel 7 or 8
OR
Material: “STAR” TATTING CROCHET
Quantity: Article 25 – 1 Ball White – Will Make 2 Stars
Size of Needle: Steel 12 or 13
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Ch 4 and work 9 d c in first st of ch, join forming a circle.
2nd Row. Mark the beginning with a thread, ch 1, * 1 s c in each of the next 2 d c, ch 3, repeat from * all around, do not join rows.
3rd Row. * 1 s c in each of the next 2 s c, 5 d c in next 3 ch loop, repeat from * all around.
4th Row. 1 s c in each of the next 4 sts 3 s c in next st * 1 s c in each of the next 6 sts, 3 s c in next st, repeat from * all around ending row with 1 s c in each of the next 2 d c.
5th Row. Skip 2 s c, 1 s c in each of the next 3 s c, 5 s c in next s c, 1 s c in each of the next 3 s c, repeat from beginning all around ending row with 1 s c in each of the next 2 sts.
6th Row. 1 s c in each of the next 5 sts, ch 3, skip 1 s c, 1 s c in each of the next 5 s c, turn, skip 1 s c, 1 s c in each of the next 4 s c, 5 d c in loop, 1 s c in each of the next 4 s c, turn, 1 s c in each of the next 6 sts 1 d c 2 tr c 1 d c in next st, 1 s c in each of the next 6 sts, repeat from beginning all around.
7th Row. Work 7 s c on side of point, 2 d c in next tr c, ch 3, 2 d c in next tr c, 7 s c down other side of point, repeat in same manner all around.
8th Row. 1 s c in each s c skipping 1 st between points and working 3 d c in loop at top of each point.
9th Row. 1 s c in each st working 1 d c, ch 3, 1 d c in center d c at top of each point. Ch 15 for loop. Trim with colored sequins as illustrated. Use starch to stiffen.
