STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Square:

With White, ch 4, join with-sl st to form ring, ch 3, work 2 dc in ring *, ch 2, 3 dc in ring; repeat from * twice. Ch 2, join with sl st on top of ch 3 at beginning of round. Fasten off.

Row 2 – Attach blue yarn into space of ch 3, ch 3, 3 dc 2 ch 3 dc in 1st space, * ch 1, 3 dc 2 ch 3 dc in next ch 3 space; repeat from * twice, ch 1, join with sl st and fasten off.

Row 3 – Attach pink yarn into space of ch 2 comer, ch 3 *, 3 dc 2 ch 3 dc in corner space, ch 1, 3 dc in ch 1 space, ch 1; repeat from * three times. Ch 1, join with sl st and fasten off.

Row 4 – Attach white yarn, work 1 row of sc around square, working 3 sc in each comer st. Fasten off. Make 96 squares. Join squares as illustrated, with overhand st.

Border:

Work 1 row of sc with a picot in every 3rd st, as follows: * ch 4, sl st in 1st ch, 1 sc in each of the next 3 sts, repeat from * around entire baby blanket crochet pattern and fasten off.
