STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Commence with a chain of 140 stitches, using white yarn.
On this chain work in Newport stitch, as follows:
4 rows of white, * 1 row of blue, 1 row of white, 6 rows of blue, 1 row of white, 1 row of blue, 8 rows of white. Repeat from *.
Make 5 blue and 7 white stripes. Finish with a shell (5 d.c to the shell) of white, edged with blue, and a picot of blue.
