This striped afghan is about 54 x 68 inches in size.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

With Brown Ch. 409.

Row 1 – *1 S.C. in each of 7 Ch., 3 S.C. in next Ch., 1 S.C. in each of 7 Ch., skip 2 Ch., repeat from * across, ending 1 S.C. in each of 7 Ch., Ch.l, turn.

Row 2 – Skip 1 St., * 1 S.C. in back loop of each of 7 Sts., 3 S.C. in back loop of next St., 1 S. C. in back loop of the next 7 Sts., skip 2 Sts., repeat from * across, ending 1 S.C. in back loop of each of last 7 Sts., Ch.l, turn.

Repeat Row 2 for Pattern St., work striping as follows (from start):

4 Rows Brown

*2 Rows Bisque Beige

2 Rows each of the 4 Greens (from light to dark)

2 Rows each of the 4 Rust shades (from light to dark)

2 Rows Bisque Beige

6 Rows Brown

Repeat the 26 rows from * 9 times more, ending with 4 rows of Brown.

Crocheting the Border

With Brown work 2 rows of S.C. at each side.

Making the Fringe

Wind Brown around a 5 inch cardboard, cut loops at one side. Using 3 strands, fold and knot fringe in every other St. at each end of Afghan.
