STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
BACK
With A ch 105.
Row 1 — 1 sc in 2nd and each remaining st on ch; 104 sc.
Row 2 — right side — Ch 3, turn (ch 3 counts as 1 dc), yo, draw up a loop in 3rd st from hook, and a loop in each of next 3 sts, yo, draw through all 6 loops on hook, ch 1 (eye of star); * yo, draw up a loop in back thread of last loop, draw up a loop in same st as last loop of star, and a loop in each of next 2 sts, yo, draw through all 6 loops on hook, ch 1; repeat from *, end 1 dc in last st; 51 stars.
Row 3 — Ch 2, turn (ch 2 counts as 1 hdc), 2 hdc in eye of each star (hdc will always be worked in eye of star), 1 hdc in top of turning ch; 104 hdc.
Row 4 — Same as row 2.
Row 5 — Ch 2, turn, lay strand of B across top of work, with A, working over B, work 1 hdc in first star, yo, draw up a loop in same st, drop A, complete hdc with B, * working over A with B draw up Ms-in. loop in next star, t yo, draw up a loop in same st t; repeat between +’s twice, yo, draw through 8 loops on hook, drop B, with A ch 1, working over B, 2 hdc in each of next 5 stars, working off loops of last hdc with B *; repeat between *’s, end last repeat 2 hdc in last star, 1 hdc in top of turning ch; 9 puffs. Armholes

Armhole
Shape as for left armhole of back, keeping front edge even; 44 sts—21 stars. Continue in pat. until 62 rows from beginning.
Neck Shaping
Next row — Work to within 4 stars of end (neck edge); 1 hdc in next star; 36 sts. Continuing in pat., dec 2 sts at neck edge every 2nd row 3 times as for right armhole of back; 30 sts—14 stars. Work even until 71 rows from beginning. Fasten off.
LEFT FRONT
Work first 4 rows as for right front.
Row 5 — Same as row 5 of back, end last repeat 2 hdc in each of last 4 stars, 1 hdc in turning ch.
Rows 6, 7 and 8 — Same as rows 6, 7 and 8 of right front.
Row 9 — Same as row 9 of back, end last repeat 2 hdc in last star, 1 hdc in turning ch.

Shape as for right armhole of back. Continue in pat. until 62 rows from beginning.
Neck Shaping
Slip st across first 8 sts, ch 2, work 2 hdc in each star, end 1 hdc in turning ch; 36 sts. Finish to correspond to right front.
SLEEVES
Row 1 — With A, ch 61.
Work as for first 4 rows of back; 60 sts—29 stars.
Row 5 — Ch 2, turn, lay strand of B across work, with A working over B, work 2 hdc in first star, 1 hdc in next star, yo, draw up a loop in same st, drop A, complete hdc with B, repeat between *’s of row 5 of back, end 2 hdc in each of last 2 stars, 1 hdc in top of turning ch, continue in pat. until 10 rows from beginning.
