Measurements: Chest 21 inches, length from lower edge to shoulder 11 1/2 inches. sleeves — width 7 3/4 inches.
Gauge: Pattern st: 10 sts = l inch, 8 rows = l inch
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Neckband
Ch 21 for front, 1 sc in 2nd and each st on ch; 20 sc.
Row 2 — Ch 1, turn, working in back loop, 1 sc in each st; 20 sc.
Repeat row 2 until 101 rows from beginning (about 9 inches).
Fasten off. Make 2.
Bands for lower edge of Back and Front
Work same as neckband for 94 rows.
Fasten off. Make 2.

Row 1 — Skip 1 st, 1 sc in each of the next 3 sts, * ch 3, skip 2 sts, 1 dc in next st, ch 3, skip 2 sts, 1 sc in each of next 5 sts; repeat from *, end last repeat, 1 sc in each of last 3 sts; 10 pats, and 2 half pats.
Row 2 — Ch 1, turn, 1 sc in each of first 2 sc, * ch 3, skip 1 sc, 1 sc in next sp, 1 sc in dc, 1 sc in next sp, ch 3, skip 1 sc, 1 sc in each of next 3 sts; repeat from *, end last repeat 1 sc in each of last 2 sts.

Join in first st, working from same side, 1 sc in each of first 3 sts, ch 3, 1 dc in next st, ch 3, 1 sc in each of next 5 sts; repeat from *, end 1 sc in each of last 3 sts (7 pats., and 1 half pat. each side). Work even in pat., beginning with row 2 until work measures 7% ins., end with row 4. Work 4 dec. rows as on back.
5th Dec. Row — Turn, slip st in first st, ch 3, repeat between *’s of row 3, end ch 3, 1 sc in next sc.
6th Dec. Row — Turn, slip st in first st, 1 sc in sp, repeat between *’s of row 4, end ch 3, 1 sc in sp.
7th Dec. Row — Turn, slip st in first st, ch 3, skip 1 sc, 1 dc in next st, ch 3, repeat between *’s of row 3, end ch 3, 1 sc in first st of ch.
8th Dec. Row — Turn, slip st in 2 sts of ch, 1 sc under ch, 1 sc in dc, 1 sc under ch, ch 3, continue pat., end 1 sc under ch, 1 sc in dc, 1 slip st in ch.
Repeat last 8 rows once. Fasten off.
Finishing the Comfy Slipon
Sew bands to lower edges. Sew neckbands to top of front and back. Sew underarm and sleeve seams. Lap front neckband over back neckband for 1/4 inch and baste. Sew in sleeves with seam at center underarm. With right side toward you, work 1 row sc across top edge of back neckband, working 1 sc in end of each row; 101 sc. Fasten off.
Join on front neckband at left shoulder, work 1 sc in each of2 rows, ch 4, skip 4 rows, * 1 sc in each of 4 rows, ch 4, skip 4 *; repeat between *’s twice, work 41 sc, work 4 button loops on right shoulder.
Fasten off. Steam lightly.
