REQUIRED MATERIALS

4 Skeins of White Moorland’s Sports Wool
Crochet Hook a little thicker than a slate pencil
3/4 Yard Pale Blue Silk
4 1/4 Yards Ribbon

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Commence with 69 chain. Turn, draw wool through every stitch, keeping all the loops on your needle.

2nd Row – Draw through 1st stitch on loop singly, then the remainder through two stitches at a time.

3rd Row – Draw wool through each loop, which lies straight on work, and keep all on needle.

4th Row – Draw through 1st loop singly, then 2 tog., as before.

5th Row – Take up 4 loops as usual, then in next loop * wool over needle and draw through loop, then through 2 loops on needle. Repeat from * 3 times more, all 4 in same loop (you have now 4 half treble), then draw through all 5 loops together. Take up next 2 loops as usual, then the 4 treble as before. Repeat to end of row, where take up final 4 singly as at beginning of row.

6th Row – Repeat the 4th row.

Repeat last 6 rows until work is as long as you wish. The model is 21 inches wide and 26 inches in length.

Line with silk, then bind with ribbon and add a smart bow or rosette.
