Crochet Stitch Tips

Crochet Crazy!

A cool stitch that I have learned is called the woven stitch. You can do it with single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet, but it most likely works best with single crochet.

Make a swatch of 15 chains, and start by single crocheting into the back loop, then the front loop, then the back loop all the way down to the end. Turn. Chain one and crochet into the FRONT loop then the back loop and so on.

Scallops Galore!!

When you complete your project and want to add scallops, just chain 4 and slip stitch into a space three stitches away. Chain 4 slip stitch, chain 4 slip stitch…

Fasten off and weave in ends. For smaller or larger scallops, just simply increase or decrease the number of chains and spaces.
