STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Front of Easter Bonnet Potholder
Crown – With Yellow Yarn and No. 0 hook, ch 19, sk 1 ch, sc in next 18 ch.
Row 2 – Ch 3, turn, 2 dc in 1st sc. * dc in next 4 sc, holding back the last lp of each dc on hook, make dc in next 2 sc, yarn over and draw thru all lps on hook (a Cluster-decrease made). Repeat from * once, dc in next 5 sc.
Row 3 – Ch 3, turn, dc in 17 dc.
Row 4 – Ch 1, turn, sc in 1st 2 dc, hdc in next dc, dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc, dc in next 10 dc.
Row 5 – Ch 1, turn, sk 1 dc and working in back lps only, make sc in next st, hdc in next 2 sts, dc in next 2 sts, 2 dc in next st, dc in next 3 sts, hdc in next 3 sts, sc in next 3 sts, sl st in next 2 sts. Fasten off.

Lace Frill – With White Pearl Cotton and No. 5 hook, join to front lp of 1st st in Row 6, ch 5, sc in same st, (ch 5, sc in front lp of next st) repeated across.
Row 2 – Ch 7, turn, sc in 1st lp, (ch 5, sc in next lp) repeated across.

Ribbon – With Pink Pearl Cotton ch 30, dc in 4th ch from hook, tr in each ch across with dc in end ch. Fasten off.
Sew one end between 3rd and 4th Lace scallops from bottom corner, other end at base of Crown 1″ from back edge.

Bar – Ch 12, sk 3 ch, dc in next 9 ch. Fasten off.
Sew around center of Bow.
Sew Bow at outside end of Ribbon.
No. 1 Flower – With Dk. Rose Floss, ch 7, join with sl st to form ring.
Row 1 – Ch 1, 12 sc in ring, join to 1st sc.
Row 2 – * Ch 3, 2 tr in next sc, ch 3, sl st in 3d ch from hook for a p, 2 tr in same sc on ring, ch 3, sc in next sc. Repeat from * 5 times. Fasten off.
Make a Dk. Yellow French Knot at base of each petal.
Make a 2d Flower In Lavender with Yellow Knots, and a 3rd in Pink with Dk. Rose Knots.
No. 2 Flower – With Blue Floss, ch 4, draw out lp on hook to 3/4t” length, insert hook thru single back strand of long lp. thread over and draw thru, thread over and draw thru the 2 lps on hook, completing sc (Knot St Lp made). Sk 1 ch. sc in next ch, (a Knot St, sc in same ch) twice, sl st in next ch (center st of flower), * ch 2, a Knot St, sk 1 ch, sc in next ch, (Knot St, sc in same ch) twice, sl st in center st. Repeat from * twice. Fasten off.
Make a Yellow French Knot in center. Make 2 Flowers.
Leaf – With Shd. Greens Floss * Ch 9, ** 2 tr in 4th st from hook, ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook for a p, 2 tr in same ch with last tr, ch 3, sl st in same ch, sl st in next ch. ** Repeat from * once. Sl st in next 4 ch, ch 5, repeat from ** to **, sl st in 4 ch of stem. Fasten off.
Make 4. Sew Flowers and Leaves around base of Crown as illustrated.
Back of Easter Bonnet Potholder
Repeat Crown and Brim except make Row 5 of Crown and Row 7 of Brim thru both lps of sts. Sew Back and Front tog. Cover a bone ring with Yellow sc. Sew to top of Bonnet. Steam and press Bonnet dry on back thru a cloth.
