Jack Frost Knitting Worsted – 1 – 3 3/4-oz. Skein
Bone Crochet Hook, Size 4

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Ch 65. Work back and forth in star st for 5 in.

Fasten off. This is the back of cap.

Omitting the first 11 star sts, attach yarn and work back, and forth over next 10 star sts for 4 inches. Sew sides of 4 inch piece to the omitted star sts at each end. Work 1 row of s c across front edge, skipping every 4th st. Work 4 rows of s c, st for st.

Neckband for Baby Bonnet with Pompoms

Work 1 row of s c across neck edge, skipping every 3rd st. Ch 13 at right front edge. Work back and forth over the 13 ch and across neck edge for 2 rows. On 3rd row work a buttonhole as follows: 1 s c in first 2 sts, ch 2, skip 2 sts, 1 s c in each st across row. Work 2 rows of sc, st for st. Fasten off. Trim with pompoms as illustrated.
