Vintage Crochet Blanket Patterns
REQUIRED MATERIALS – PATTERN FOR TOP BLANKET
Jack Frost Knitting Worsted Pink, Blue, White Ombre – 7 3-oz. Skeins
Size 4 Bone Crochet Hook
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Ch desired length, then work as follows:
Row 1 – 1 s c in each ch, ch 1, turn.
Row 2 – 1 s c in the first ch, * Y O hook, draw through 2 loops, Y 0 hook and draw up a loop in the same st, (4 loops on hook), Y O hook and draw yarn through all loops at once, 1 s c in next st; repeat from * across row ending with 1 s c in the last st.
Row 3 – 1 s c in each st, taking both horizontal sts at top of work and having the same number of s c as in Row 1.
Repeat Rows 2 and 3 two more times, then work 3 rows of s c, st for st.
Repeat from Row 2, to desired width for crib cover. Fasten off.
Crocheting the Border
Work 5 rows of s c around entire crib cover, working 3 sts in each corner st. Work 1 row of rosebud sts as described in Row 2, 5 rows of s c, then 1 row of shell st around entire cover, working a picot in the top of the 2nd and 4th d c of each shell. Fasten off.

Jack Frost Knitting Worsted
Pink, Blue, White Ombre – 4 3-oz. Skeins
White – 3 3 3/4 oz. Skeins
Bone Crochet Hook, Size 4
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
With Ombre yarn ch 42. Work as follows:
Row 1 – 1 d c in 3rd ch from hook, * 1 s c in next st, 1 d c in next st; repeat from * across row ending with 1 s c.
Row 2 – Ch 2, * 1 d c in first st, 1 s c in next st; repeat from * across row ending with 1 s c.
Repeat Row 2 until you have a perfect square.
Change to white, and continuing on same piece, work 1 square white, 1 square ombre, 1 square white, 1 square ombre, fasten off.
Make another strip of squares in the same colors.
Third Strip – Start with a white square and end with ombre square. Sew strips together, attaching the ombre square to the white square.
Crocheting the Border
Work 6 rows of s c around entire cover, working 3 s c in each corner st as follows: 2 rows white, 2 rows ombre, 2 rows white. With ombre work 1 row of shell st around entire cover, working a picot in the top of the 2nd and 4th d c of each shell. Fasten off.
