Cut lining same shape as front and back sections allowing 1/4 inch all around to turn under. Cut buckram slightly smaller than each section hut cutting back section straight down from flap, do not mitre corners as buckram does not turn in at the gusset. Cut front section 1/2 inch smaller on sides cutting straight down to bottom.
Fold lower edge of crocheted front section at 5th row folding up to 10th row and sew slanted edge to form a mitre corner. Sew opposite side at lower edge in same manner. Sew back section same as front section forming corners in same manner. Sew side seams and across lower edge. Fold in l/2 inch on sides and lower edge for gusset. Baste buckram to crocheted section to hold in position placing the corners of buckram to corners of case. Sew lining together same as crocheted sections.
Cut a piece of material 7 inches x 3 1/2 inches for pocket. Sew hem across top. Tack a plait at lower edge on each side and an inverted plait 4 inches from 1st plait. This forms fullness for compact and lipstick pocket. Sew in position on lining about 1/2 inch down from start of flap. Sew to lining sewing vertically at center of inverted plait. Place lining in case and sew in position. Finish with snap fastener.
