REQUIRED MATERIALS

Sultana Beautysheen, 2 Balls
Steel Crochet Hook, Size 4

NOTE(s)

Gauge: 9 sts = 1 inch, 4 rows = 1 inch

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Ch 94, 1 dc in 4th st from hook and in each st on ch, counting ch 3 as 1 st; 92 dc.

Row 2 – Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in each of 6 sts, * 2 dc in next st, 1 dc in each of 5 sts; repeat from *, end 6 dc; 106 dc.

Row 3 – Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in each of 6 sts, * 2 dc in next st, 1 dc in each of next 6 sts; repeat from *, end 7 dc; 120 dc.

Row 4 – Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in each of next 7 sts, * 2 dc in next st. 1 dc in each of next 7 sts; repeat from *, end 7 dc; 134 dc. Fasten off, turn.

With loop on hook join with slip st in 33rd st from end of last row.

Pattern

Row 1 – wrong side – * Skip 1 st, 4 dc with ch 2 between in next st (shell), skip 1 st, 1 dc in each of next 2 sts; repeat from * 12 times, skip 1 st, 1 shell, skip 1 st, 1 slip st; 14 shells.

Row 2 – Ch 3, turn, * 1 sc in center sp of shell, ch 2, 1 sc in same sp (small shell), ch 3, skip next 2 dc of shell, 1 dc in each of next 2 dc, ch 3; repeat from *, end last repeat 1 slip st in joining st. Fasten off.

Row 3 – Turn, join with slip st in next to last dc of row below, * 4 dc with ch 2 between in center of small shell, 1 dc in each of next 2 dc; repeat from *, end last repeat 1 slip st in next to last dc (12 shells, 1 shell left off each side).

Row 4 – Same as row 2.

Row 5 – Turn, join in next to last dc of row below, * 1 shell in small shell, 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in next dc; repeat from * 8 times, 1 shell, 1 slip st in next dc; 10 shells.

Row 6 – Same as row 2, with 1 dc in each of 3 dc between shells.

Row 7 – Work like row 3 with 3 dc between shells; 8 shells.

Row 8 – Same as row 2, with 3 dc between shells.

Row 9 – Join as in row 5, * 1 shell in small shell, 1 dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in next dc; repeat from * 4 times, 1 shell, 1 slip st; 6 shells.

Row 10 – Work same as row 2 with 4 dc between shells.

Row 11 – Join as in row 5, * 1 shell, 1 dc in each of 4 dc; repeat from * twice, 1 shell, 1 slip st; 4 shells.

Row 12 – Same as row 2, with 4 dc between shells.

Join at left corner of neck, work 1 row sc around entire edge of cute bib, keeping work flat and working over ch of pat.; join, ch 4 for button-loop, skip 2 sts of row below, join. Fasten off.

Steam lightly. Sew lining to neck edge.
