Yellow Crochet Hooks Nos. 0 and 5 STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS ORANGE - With Orange Yarn and No. 0 hook, ch 2, 8 sc in 2d ch from hook. Do not join rows but mark end of each row. Row 2 - (2 sc in next sc) 8 times. Row 3 - (Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) 8 times. Row 4 - (Sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 8 times, (this is an increase in every 3d st). Row 5 - Increase in every 4th sc. Row 6 - Work even, without increases. Repeat Rows 5 and 6. Row 9 - Inc. in every 5th sc. Repeat Rows 6 and 9. Row 12 - Inc. in every 6th sc. Row 13 - Repeat Row 6. Row 14 - Inc. in every 7th sc. Row 15 - Inc. in every 12th sc. Row 16 - Repeat Row 6. Sl st in next 4 sc. Fasten off. FLOWER - With White Floss and No. 5 hook ch 5, join with sl st to form ring. Row 1 - Ch 1, 10 sc in ring, join to 1st sc. Row 2 - Ch 8, sk 1 ch, sc in next ch, hdc in next ch, dc in next 2 ch, tr in next 2 ch, holding back the last lp of each dc on hook, make 2 dc in next ch, thread over and draw thru all lps on hook (cluster made). Sk 1 sc on ring, sl st in next sc. Repeat from * 4 times. Fasten off. Cover center with Lt. Yellow French Knots. Make 3 Flowers. LEAF - With Shd. Greens Floss ch 26, sk 1 ch, * sc in next ch, hdc in next ch, dc in next 2 ch, tr in next 16 ch, dc in next 2 ch, hdc in next ch, sc in next ch, * 3 sc in end ch. Repeat from * to * on other side of ch. Row 3 - Ch 1, turn, sc in 1st st, hdc in next st, * (dc in next 2 sts, 2 dc in next st) 7 times, dc in next 2 sts, * in next st make 2 dc, ch 3, sl st in last dc for a p, and 2 dc. Repeat from * to *. Hdc in next st, sc in next st. Join and fasten off. Make three. STEM - With Green ch 24, sk 4 ch, dc in each remaining ch. Fasten off. Fold crosswise in center, forming a loop and sew ends tog. Sew 2 Leaves to stem. Sew Leaves and Flowers on Orange as illustrated. Steam and press dry on back thru a cloth. Line back with cloth.
