My Love of Crocheting

A baby blanket I crocheted without using a pattern. An afghan I crocheted. Two pairs of socks I crocheted.

One of my favorite things about crocheting is using many different colors, textures, and weights of yarn. And I also love embellishments because they add a classiness and daintiness to each project.

One of my favorite crochet tools is my scissors that have a design on them because it keeps my mind at attention. I love creating just about anything in crocheting. I generally don't use any patterns unless I'm not sure how to make something or I need to figure out the sizing.

Patternless crocheting NEW

I love the baby blanket! I also crochet a lot without a pattern when I make baby blankets and afghans these days. I learned to crochet back in the late 60s when I was in 6th grade but I didn't actually start making things until the 80s. I bought an afghan kit. I know so many patterns from memory I have learned to combine them to make up my own designs now that I'm pushing 60 yrs old. Wow! Did I just say I'm almost 60! I love your things and you free designs! We can always learn from each other! Happy stitches!
