Hiawatha Elastic Metallic Yarn of Lastex Art. 77, 2 Cards
Steel Crochet Hook No. 0

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Ch 12, join with sl st into ring. Work without tension.

Rnd 1: * Ch 5, sc in ring (mesh made). Repeat from * 4 times more, ch 5, sc in first mesh.

Rnd 2: Ch 5, sc in same mesh (inc. made) * ch 5, sc in next mesh, ch 5, sc in same mesh. Repeat from * around. Mark beg. of rnds.

Rnd 3: * 5 dc in next sc (shell made), sc in next mesh, ch 5, sc in next mesh. Repeat from * around, ending with sc after 6th shell.

Rnd 4: * Ch 5, sc in center of next shell, inc. 1 mesh in next mesh. Repeat from * until there are 6 inc.

Rnd 5: * Ch 5, sc in next mesh. Repeat from * around, ending in mesh after last inc. mesh.

Rnd 6: Ch 5, sc in next mesh, * shell in next sc, sc in next mesh (shell should be directly between shells of first shell rnd), work mesh in each of next 2 mesh. Repeat from * around, ending with sc after 6th shell.

Rnd 7: * Ch 5, sc in next mesh, inc. 1 mesh in same mesh, ch 5, sc in center of next shell, ch 5, sc in next mesh. Repeat from * around.

Rnd 8: Work ch-5 mesh around, ending with mesh directly above last shell of 6th rnd.

Rnd 9: Ch 5, sc in next mesh, * shell in next sc, sc in next mesh, mesh in each of next 3 mesh. Repeat from * around.

Rnds 10 and 11: Work 2 rnds mesh even, ending with mesh directly over center of last shell.

Rnd 12: Ch 5, sc in next mesh, shell in next sc, sc in next mesh, mesh in each of next 3 mesh. Repeat from * around.

Continue working alternate shells every 3rd rnd until cap is desired depth (about 5 1/2") from center ending with mesh rnd.

Next Rnd: Work ch-4 mesh around.

Last Rnd: Sc in each ch and each sc around. St st in next st. End off.
