STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Eight ch, join in ring.

1st Row: 1 ch, 12 d c over ring join.

2nd Row: 5 ch: * turn, 1 d c in each st of 5 ch, s c in next d c of ring 5 ch repeat * until there are twelve of these spokes.

3rd Row: Sl st to top of first spoke 3 ch, * 1 d c in point of next spoke, 3 ch, repeat *, join last 3 ch in top of first spoke.

4th Row: 5 d c over each 3 ch, join.

5th Row: 8 ch, * 1 d c in st over next spoke, 8 ch, repeat *, join last 8 ch in same st with first 8 ch.

6th Row: 6 d c over 8 ch, 4 ch for open picot (p) 6 d c over same 8 ch * 6 d c over next 8 ch, p, 6 d c over same 8 ch, repeat *.

7th Row: Sl st to first P of 8 ch, 1 d c in same p, 9 ch, * 1 d c in next p, 9 ch, repeat *. join last 9 ch in first p.

8th Row: 11 d c over each 9 ch, 1 d c in d c in p.

9th Row: 5 ch, 1 d tr in first d c in p of previous row (1 ch, 1 d tr in same d c with last d tr) 5 times; this makes a group of 7 d tr in the same d c, 2 ch, * 7 d tr with 1 ch between d tr in d c over next p, 2 ch repeat *, join last 2 ch in 4th st of 1st 5 ch.

10th Row: Sl st to centre st of first group of d tr, 9 ch, * 1 d tr over 2 ch between groups of 7 d tr, 2 ch, 1 d tr over same 2 ch, 4 ch, 1 tr in top of centre st of group, 4 ch, repeat *, join last 4 ch in 4th st of first 9 ch.

11th Row: 4 ch, 1 tr in same st with 4 ch, 2 ch, * 7 d tr, with 1 ch between d tr, over the 2 ch between 2 d tr of previous row, 2 ch, 1 tr, 1 ch, 1 tr in tr of previous row, 2 ch, repeat *, join last 2 ch in third st of first 4 ch.

12th Row: 6 ch, 1 d tr over 1 ch, with 6 ch just made. 5 ch, * 3 tr in centre of 7 d tr, 5 ch, 2 d tr with 2 ch between, over 1 ch between 2 tr of previous row, 5 ch, repeat *, join last 5 ch in 4th st of first 6 ch.

13th Row: 7 ch, 1 t tr over first 2 ch between 2 d tr, 2 ch, 1 t tr over same 2 ch, 5 times; this makes a group of 7 t tr counting the 7 ch as 1 t tr; 2 ch, * 1 d tr, 1 ch, 1 d tr in centre of 3 tr of previous row, 2 ch, 7 t tr, with 1 ch between, over 2 ch between 2 d tr, 2 ch, repeat *, join last 2 eh in 5th st of 7 ch.

14th Row: Sl st to second sp between t tr, 8 ch, * 1 d c in 5th sp of same group of t tr; 8 ch, 1 d c over 1 ch between 2 d tr, 8 ch, 1 d c in second sp of next group of 7 t tr, 8 ch, repeat *, fasten last 8 ch in same sp with first 8 ch.

15th Row: 7 d c over 8 ch, 4 ch, * 7 d c over same 8 ch, 7 d c over next 8 ch, 4 ch, repeat *; the 4 ch makes an open p.

16th Row: Sl st to first p, 9 ch, 7 t tr with 2 ch between in same p with 9 ch, 2 ch, * 1 d c in next p, 2 ch, 8 t tr with 2 ch between in next p, 2 ch. repeat *.

17th Row: Sl st to second sp of first group of 8 t tr, 4 ch, 3 d tr with 1 ch between in same sp with 4 ch, * (1 ch, miss 1 sp, 4 d tr with 1 ch between in next sp), twice, 1 ch, 4 d tr with 1 ch between in second sp of next group of 8 t tr, repeat *, join and fasten off.
