REQUIRED MATERIALS
CHADWICK'S RED HEART BABY POM-PADOUA: 23 Balls (3/4 oz. Balls)
Crochet Hook, Size G
5 Yards Folded Blanket Binding
NOTE(s)
Gauge: 3 star sts make 1 inch; 2 rows make 1 inch.
This easy crochet blanket pattern makes a cute and comfy baby blanket that is approximately 36 x 50 inches in size.
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Starting at side edge, make a chain about 60 inches long.
1st Row - Insert hook in 2nd ch from hook and draw loop through, (insert hook in next ch and draw loop through) 3 times; yarn over and draw through all 5 loops on hook, ch 1 to fasten (star st). * Insert hook in fastening ch of star st just made and draw loop through, insert hook in last loop of same star st and draw loop through, insert hook in ch where last loop of previous star st was drawn through and draw loop through, skip 1 ch, insert hook in next ch and draw loop through; yarn over and draw through all 5 loops on hook, ch 1 to fasten (another star st). Repeat from * across until row measures 50 inches. Ch 3, turn.
Cut off remaining ch.
2nd Row - Insert hook in 2nd ch from hook and draw loop through, insert hook in next ch and draw loop through, insert hook in fastening ch of 1st star st and draw loop through, insert hook in fastening ch of next star st and draw loop through; yarn over and draw through all loops on hook, ch 1. * Insert hook in fastening ch just made and draw loop through, insert hook in last loop of previous star st and draw loop through, insert hook in same fastening ch where last loop of previous star st was drawn through and draw loop through, insert hook in next fastening ch and draw loop through; yarn over and draw through all loops on hook, ch 1. Repeat from * across, drawing through last loop of last star st at top of turning ch of previous row. Ch 3, turn.
Repeat 2nd row for 36 inches. Fasten off.
Sew blanket binding all around.
