This simple crochet baby blanket pattern makes a cute and comfy blanket for a baby that is approximately 35 x 54 inches in size.
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Using M C, ch 74 sts to measure 36 inches.
Row 1 - 1 s c in 2nd ch from hook, ch 2, work 2 d c in same st, * skip 2 sts, 1 s c, ch 2 and 2 d c all in next st, repeat from *, ending skip 2 sts, 1 s c in last st. Do not turn.
Row 2 - Working from same side as last row, join C C in first s c of last row, ch 1, 1 s c in first s c, * work 2 d c, ch 2 and 1 s c in next s c, repeat from * across row, working off last s c with M C, ch 2, turn.
Row 3 - Using M C, 1 s c in first s c, * 2 d c, ch 2 and 1 s c in next s c, repeat from * across row. Do not turn.
Row 4 - Using C C, draw up a loop in first s c, ch 1, 1 s c, ch 2 and 2 d c in first sc, * 1 s c, ch 2 and 2 d c in next s c, repeat from *, ending 1 s c in last s c, working off with M C, ch 2 M C, turn.
Row 5 - Using M C, 1 s c, ch 2 and 2 d c in first s c, * 1 s c, ch 2 and 2 d c in next s c, repeat from *, ending 1 s c in last s c. Do not turn.
Row 6 - Using C C, draw up a loop in first s c, ch 1, 1 s c in first s c, * 2 d c, ch 2 and 1 s c in next s c, repeat from *, working off last s c with M C, ch 2, turn.
Repeat Rows 3 through 6 until piece measures 54 inches, ending with a M C row. Fasten off. Steam lightly.
