STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Crocheted Belt - First Strip
Make 30" ch.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, * ch 5, skip 5 ch, sc in next ch (slot made). Repeat from * until row is 23" (25", 27") - do not stretch when measuring. Cut off remaining chain. Do not turn but continue around as follows:
Rnd 2: * Hdc in next ch, dc in next eh, 3 dc in next ch, dc in next ch, hdc in next ch, skip next st (scallop made). Repeat from * to end, work 3 sc in end sc, then work scallops on other side of slots in same way. End off.
Crocheted Belt - Second Strip
Same as first strip for same number of slots as on first strip.
Rnd 2: Hdc in next ch, dc in next ch, 2 dc in next ch, ch 1, from right side sl st in center dc of first scallop of first strip thus joining, ch 1, sl st in top of last dc made, dc at base of last dc, dc in next ch, hdc in next ch, skip next st.
Continue scallops, joining center of each scallop to corresponding scallop of first strip, work 3 sc in end sc then work scallops along other side of 2nd strip. End off.
Steam. Sew on hooks and eyes.
