This free crochet slipper pattern was originally published in the Woolco Knitting & Crocheting Manual, in 1916. Crochet a vintage pair of slippers!



Follow the easy step-by-step instructions of this vintage crochet pattern to make these vintage crocheted slippers. There is absolutely no charge for personal use of this easy crochet pattern for a pair of slippers.

Crochet Slipper Pattern - Crochet Slippers

REQUIRED MATERIALS

4 Skeins of Color Woolco Germantown Zephyr
Woolco Crochet Hook, No. 3 1/2
1 Pair of Soles (No. 4)

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Chain 24.

1st Row - Skip 1 stitch, make a single crochet in each stitch. Turn, ch 1.

2nd Row - Single crochet in each stitch, taking both loops.

Repeat 2nd row 21 times. Then work 17 single crochet, taking back loop, turn, chain 1, work 30 ridges (60 rows) even. Join with a slip stitch to square when folded to form a triangle. Fasten off.

On top make *1 double crochet, 1 chain* in each rib, chain 2, turn.

2nd Row - 1 double crochet in each stitch and chain, turn, chain 1.

3rd Row - 1 single crochet in each stitch, taking both loops.

4th Row - 1 single crochet in each stitch, taking back loop.

Make 8 rows like 3d row.

Finish with a picot of 1 single crochet, 3 chain, 1 single crochet in every 3rd stitch.

CORD - Make a chain about 3/4 yard long, work a slip stitch in each chain.

BALLS - Wind yarn around a piece of card board 1 inch wide 50 times. Tie securely, trim into shape, fasten to end of cord.
